Indian Navy Entrance Test was conducted on 20th February 2020. The application form link for the Indian Navy INET 2020 has been closed on 19th December 2019. Hope eligible candidates must have applied before the last date.

INET 2020: Eligibility Criteria:

The eligibility criteria for INET is different for different posts. For some posts, both male and female candidates can apply. While some posts are open for only female or male candidates. INET eligibility criteria for executive, education and technical branches are given below.

Medical Standards: All candidates recommended by SSB will have to undergo medicals. There is no relaxation in medical standards on any ground.

Relaxation in height and weight:  Relaxation in height and weight is given to candidates holding domicile of specific regions.

Educational Qualification

Executive Branch BE/B Tech with minimum 60% marks. Candidate must have 60% aggregate marks in class 10 and 12. Moreover, candidates must have secured 60% marks in English in class 10 and 12.
Technical Branch BE/B Tech with a minimum of 60% marks
Education Branch First Class in MSc. For some posts under this branch, BE/B Tech with minimum 60% is required. Candidates applying for the education entry must have scored a minimum of 60% in Class 10 and 12 as well as in English.

CDS 2020: Syllabus and Exam Pattern: 

CDS syllabus and Exam pattern is different for IMA, INA , AFA and OTA. the written test is a one-day exam, it is quite a long procedure. Candidates applying for IMA, INA, and AFA give the test of 6 hours containing 300 marks whereas the OTA applicants gives 4 hours of exam containing 200 marks. 

CDS 2020 Syllabus: 

CDS syllabus consists of three sections: English Language, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics and the Elementary Mathematics are divided into 7 parts such as Arithmetic Ability, Trigonometry, Algebra, Mensuration, Geometry, Statistics and Numbers System. 

INET 2020 Selection Process

The complete selection process of INET is explained below:

INET apply online

The application form will be released in May. Interested candidates are required to fill and submit their applications online. The application fee is Rs 215 which can be paid online.

Appearing in entrance

All candidates whose applications are received before the due date are called for INET. The exam is conducted across various centres as per their choice, subject to availability of slots. The exam is conducted for two hours and contains 100 objective type multiple-choice questions. The subjects of INET are English, Reasoning & Numerical Ability, General Science, Mathematical Aptitude & General Knowledge. Each section will be of 100 marks. There is also a penalty of one mark for an incorrect answer.

Declaration of result

The result is declared online on the official website. INET result will be either available through login or the merit list will be released in PDF format. Candidates qualifying INET will be called for further rounds of the selection process.

Shortlisting for SSB

Candidates are shortlisted based on INET rank cum preference and choice. They need to qualify in all sections of INET exam to be considered for shortlisting in SSB. This is conducted in two stages. Candidates who clear Stage 1 will go to Stage 2. Those who fail in Stage 1 will be sent back on the same date.

Medical

Candidates recommended for SSB are required to undergo a medical examination. Candidates for Pilot entry are required to undergo PABT (Pilot aptitude battery test) followed by Aviation medical examination.

Merit List & Appointment Letter: Merit list is prepared based on the combined marks of INET & SSB. Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit will be appointed for training as per all India merit of each branch/cadre based on the availability of number of vacancies in various branches.
